Authorities

Review and sign

Approving sends the fee, then the mint runs. Both happen in one flow and you will see the mint address when it lands.

Nothing is charged until you approve the transaction in your wallet.

Forging a token: the choices that stick

Name, symbol and decimals

Written into the token when it is minted. Decimals can never change. The name, symbol and logo live in metadata that Anvilmint leaves mutable, with update authority in your wallet, so they can still be corrected later, unless you revoke update authority.

Revoke mint authority (+0.1 SOL)

Fixes the supply forever. Nobody, including you, can create more. See mint authority.

Revoke freeze authority (+0.1 SOL)

Removes the power to freeze holders' accounts, the first thing scanners check. See freeze authority.

Creator and social info (+0.1 SOL)

Your name, website and links in the token's metadata, so explorers and wallets can show who made it.

Revoke update authority (+0.1 SOL)

Locks the name, symbol, logo and links so nobody can swap them later. The third authority scanners check.

Custom address and multi-wallet (+0.1 SOL each)

Pick up to 3 characters your token address starts or ends with, or send set amounts to up to 10 wallets at launch. Either fee is refunded if it cannot be used.

How much does it cost to create a token on Anvilmint?

Should I use a standard or a Token-2022 token?
Standard SPL has the widest support. Token-2022 adds features such as transfer fees. SPL vs Token-2022 compares them, and the tax token creator makes the Token-2022 kind.
How large can the supply be?
Solana stores amounts as whole base units, so supply times 10 to the power of decimals has a ceiling. With 9 decimals that is 18,446,744,073 tokens, and fewer decimals allow more. The form checks this before you pay.
What happens after the token is created?
It sits in your wallet, untradeable until it has a pool. Create liquidity opens one on Raydium.
